A little something to rack your brains - Summer Quiz
Congratulations to Christine Chandler who was the first name out of the hat and winner of our summer quiz. The runners up were Steve Gorton of York and Joanna Saunders of Sheffield. Well done to everyone who took part.
‘Wine Workshops'
We aim to share our passion for wine not bamboozle you with jargon, so get ready for a relaxed workshop that is an informal way to discover the multitude of wines our nearest neighbours in France have to offer. The workshop will provide the opportunity to taste your way around France sampling wines as diverse as the Chardonays of Chablis and the Cabernets of Bordeaux.
As an introduction to wine France is ideal - it has a fantastic range of wines - so through the day, using wine as our mode of transport, we will have the opportunity to travel through the regions of France learning as we go - These workshops will be right for you if you are interested in wine and want to learn about the grape types and wine styles from country which produces what is probably the widest range of quality wines in the world .

Scholarship
Fingers crossed for Chris Milner one of our 2011 Advanced course graduates who will be travelling to London later this month to take part in a WSET Scholarship competition. The WSET has over 27,000 students each year and just a handful of scholarships. Having gained a Distinction in both his written and tasting paper Chris has made the shortlist of scholarship candidates which itself is a great achievement.
